Indians are divided into three categories:
1. People who dont care about cricket and are not interested in it. Its a waste of time according to them.
2. People who are cricket fans and are a fan of Sachin Tendulkar.
3. People who are cricket fans and are a fan of Sourav Ganguly.
I belong to the category 3 :) I am die hard fan of Sourav Ganguly.
I am writing this post because of intense debates with my friends who try to defend Sachin Tendulkar and I try to defend Sourav Ganguly. For me, Sourav Ganguly is the person who changed Indian Cricket. He taught India to win. Ofcourse he is no way near the class of Sachin Tendulkar when it comes to batting. But Sachin is no way near the class of Ganguly when it comes to captaincy.
I know this is never ending debate. But I enjoy it :)
Me too in category 3, but I'm fan of Sachin too. Sachin revolutionized cricket in India is kind of not right. Its Ganguly who did it. Totally agree with you on that point..

Everyone has their preferences and I do not wish to stand in their way.
Sourav ho ya Sachin as long as India wins I am more than happy :)

ReplyDeleteyaa... I too think that, sachin is the good batsman and a good and v. potential player... but whenever things comes to Captaincy, only banda who comes in mind / vision is DADA.. :D
there are number of examples to prove this... not only normal public, but also the cricket legendary feels the same... every one have their own choices and thinking. but majority of them will belong to Category 3 this is what i feel.. :)
I come under category 1 because it is waste of resources, especially day and night matches....

ReplyDeleteAnd Now about saurav ganguly, he was a good captain, he made some bold decisions. But he was the most lucky captian to have legends like Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag, Kumble in his team. If these legends in a single team an performing well in a team, they can make a ordinary captain a great captain.

1) If he is a "God" then why hasnt he won worldcup for India?
2) Why hasnt he won any match for India like Micheal Beaven did everytime out of no where?
3) When did we won a test match with tendulkars century in 4th innings?
4) Why isnt he playing 20-20 for India when he can play for IPL?
@Kunal Katkar: Same or you could say a better team went to worldcup 2007 with Dravid as a Captian. What happened there? Wasnt Dravid lucky to have them all in team?

ReplyDeleteBoth sourav and sachin are legendary players. No matter what, dada is the best whwn it cums to captaincy. Sachin may be a little master but dada is the GOD of OFF SIDE. Both are best according to me.
ReplyDeleteDADA is all-time great captain in India keeping in mind of other great captain like Kapil Deb,Dhoni. Sachin , Drabir, Kumle were also team member before DADA captaincy. But Dada is the first captain who has taught Indian team to fight in abroad.

sachin did only good batting,but dada did good batting along with great captaincy.so dada is good than sachin for me.and dhoni ohh....
ReplyDeletehe is never a good batsman nor a good tactician just he is too lucky than sachin and dada.he just know how to maintain his average.dada bought dhoni into the team and now some ppl says dhoni is better than dada.
i m diehard fan of only 1 dada............
sachin failed to perform ubder pressure but dada did it(not regularly as a batsmen but as a captain).he is the best captain after kapil dev i am definitely under category 3 but we should not forget dravid who was the real crisis man(as a batsmen not as a captain)
